The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed in regards to the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA more info services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area each day. The services level created for intervention activities a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated to the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to empower the servicing of all consumers and boost entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
